We have two primary objectives. One is to introduce Alpine skiing and snowboarding to beginners, and the other is to facilitate low-cost ski trips for more advanced skiers. To achieve the former, we have our Friday Night program, and for the latter, we run a number of weekend trips.

We offer one trip annually to a local mountain that is open to the entire RPI community, called Snow Fiesta. We are typically able to offer a lift ticket, transportation, rentals, and lessons if you need them, and food for about $26. This has by far been our most popular event. During the height of the season we run weekly programs to local mountains like Stratton, Okemo, Mt. Snow, etc. These are great for skiiers and boarders that want to save a buck and get a ride out to the mountain on a nice comfy coach bus instead of driving.

Our office, located on the first floor of the Rensselaer Union across from Father’s Food Emporium, is fully stocked with skis, snowboards, and ski blades. The cost to rent is significantly lower than it would cost to rent at the mountain. We also offer ski and snowboard tuning, waxing, sharpening and repair for a steal too.

All of these benefits are available for only $20 yearly dues. You must be a member to rent equipment or to go on our trips (except Snow Fiesta).
