What we do to get YOU on the Slopes

We're all about hittin' the mountain on the weekend, no matter your ability level. For those who are stepping into the sport for the first time to those who've been skiing every winter weekend since they could walk, we got something for everyone.

As a club, we go on many of our "big" trips to big names like Killington, Sugarbush, and Gore, but for those who want more of a lowkey trip, we go night skiing at Jiminy Peak and Catamount that won't break the budget.

We also go on weekly trip to Ikon mountains, carpooling u
p and down to Stratton one day a weekend usually.

More about What We Do...

About every 2 weeks in the Spring Semester, we go on one of our "big" trips to mountains like Killington, Sugarbush, Gore, Jiminy Peak, and Catamount. We travel to these via charter bus that paid for by the Union and club dues. Another perk of these trips is the steep group rate the club gets, which is way less than what the ticket cost listed on the mountain's website. We post the signup form about a week and a half in advance, so make sure you are in the Discord to get all the notifications. A full trip list is also on this webpage.
Every week during the spring semester we go carpool to an Ikon mountain. We typically go to Stratton since it is the closest but we will sometimes go to Windham Mountain Club or Killington depending on conditions. FYI: the club gets an awesome group rate for the Ikon pass. Make sure you check out the Discord for this in March to get a potentially under $600 (pays for itself after 3 Stratton trips). This is a pilot program, so gas is about $10 per trip with the caveat that if you drive you do not have to pay for gas. But hopefully that will change to be cheaper in the coming years.
We also go on winter-themed event trips that sometimes (most of the time) have nothing to do with skiing, just for some fun and club building. We have an events coordinator that makes sure not all of our off weeks are boring, and that sets up club meetings. Check out our meetings, Thursdays biweekly in the DCC to learn more about the club and all the events, skiing and not that we put on.
There is a tuning bench in our room in mothers. Bring your equipment and take a look! Usually there is a member who is willing to use their expertise in exchange for a donation to the club, $10 an edge and $10 a wax.
